Mercer Island Mid Century Project

A ground-up custom build on Mercer Island, this home is a luxury reinterpretation of a mid-century modern aesthetic. Clean lines and quiet drama, paired with the kind of scale that turns architecture into an experience.

Fifteen-foot ceilings in the great room give the main living space room to breathe, while a 27’ by 10′ tall bi-folding exterior door system collapses the line between inside and out. The exterior siding is traditional Shou Sugi Ban, hand-charred and finished on site for the depth and texture you can only get when it’s done by hand.

Every interior detail was built to stand on its own, including a custom cabinet stair-rail element that doubles as architecture and storage. A 5′ wide by 9′ tall pivot entry door welcomes you in before you ever cross the threshold. The property also includes a fully integrated ADU.
